Ink and Paper Fingerprints: Digital Conversion (CardScan)

For INTERNATIONAL CLIENTS there is no need to be fingerprinted in Canada.  Simply go to your local police detachment and have a set of fingerprints taken on a c-216c card or a form having a similar layout and complete a 3rd party consent form if applicable.  Mail us these documents with a copy of 2 pieces of valid ID and we will convert them to digital prints and process them in Canada on your behalf.

Criminal Background Search (non fingerprint)

On the SPOT Fingerprinting can also process criminal background searches (no fingerprints required – based on name and date of birth only).

In Canada, individuals may be required to have a criminal record check (also known as Background Check, CPIC, Police Clearance, Criminal Background Check, Police Clearance Certificate, and Police Records Check) for employment, volunteer work, a school program, real estate licence, warehouse, taxi licence, trucking licence and other civil screening purposes. A Criminal Record Check is a search based on individual’s name and date of birth, in the RCMP National Repository of Criminal Records to determine whether an individual has a criminal record. A Criminal Record Check may also include a search of a Canadian police service’s local records, which may reveal criminal record information that has not been reported to the RCMP.

The applications are processed through the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) database and the results are strictly confidentiality and are provided to the applicant only, unless requested by the applicant by signing a third party consent waiver.

Criminal Background Eligibility Search

Not eligible? Don’t wait. Don’t hope you remember to apply later.
Let us remind you!  Do a criminal record search via fingerprints NOW.  We will subtract the criminal record search fee from your Record Suspension fee when you become eligible.  And best of all, we will contact YOU.  We will notify you that you will be eligible soon, and will gather the documents we need so that time is not wasted.  On the first day you are eligible, we will petition the National Parole Board, saving time, and not wasting any of your money!

Removal of Discharge

If you have an absolute or conditional discharge before July 24th, 1992 we can petition the RCMP purge unit to have it removed. After July 24th, 1992 discharges are removed automatically after a waiting period.

Charge Destroy / File Distruction

If you were ever arrested and charged, but the charges were stayed, withdrawn or dismissed, the police keep the record of arrest, and it will show on a criminal record search.  Pardon and Waiver Experts (PWE) can petition both the local Police and the RCMP to remove the charges.
